In the next few months, this library will be organized by content, specifically which Belonging-First zone your organization is currently operate from. Psychiatrist and political philosopher who has become an influential author for critical race theory and post-colonial studies.

Ijeoma Oluo

Her writings cover racism, misogynoir, intersectionality, economics, feminisim and social justice.

Malcolm X
An African-American Muslim minister and human rights activist who was a popular figure during the civil rights movement. A spokesman for the Nation of Islam until 1964, he was a vocal advocate for Black empowerment and the promotion of Islam within the Black community.

Michelle Alexander
Writer, civil rights advocate, and visiting professor at Union Theological Seminary (New York City).
Best known for her 2010 book The New Jim Crow: Mass Incarceration in the Age of Colorblindness, and is an opinion columnist for The New York Times.

Cathy Park Hong
Author & Professor, New York Times “100 Most Influential People of 2021”.
She charts her emotional life as a Korean American immigrant woman and shatters the concept of a single story of the Asian experience.

Nell Irvin Painter
An American historian Ph.D. who is notable for her works on United States Southern history of the nineteenth century. She is retired from Princeton University as the Edwards Professor of American History Emerita.  She has served as president of the Organization of American Historians and as president of the Southern Historical Association.

Paul Beatty
American author and an associate professor of writing at Columbia University.
In 2016, he won the National Book Critics Circle Award and the Man Booker Prize for his novel The Sellout.
It was the first time a writer from the United States was honored with the Man Booker.

Safiya Umoja Noble, Ph.D.
Associate Professor of Gender Studies and African American Studies at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where she serves as the Co-Founder and Co-Director of the UCLA Center for Critical Internet Inquiry (C2i2).
She holds affiliations in the School of Education & Information Studies, and is a Research Associate at the Oxford Internet Institute at the University of Oxford where she is a Commissioner on the Oxford Commission on AI & Good Governance (OxCAIGG).Â
