Malcolm X
An African-American Muslim minister and human rights activist who was a popular figure during the civil rights movement. A spokesman for the Nation of Islam until 1964, he was a vocal advocate for Black empowerment and the promotion of Islam within the Black community.

Writer, civil rights advocate, and visiting professor at Union Theological Seminary (New York City).

Nell Irvin Painter
An American historian Ph.D. who is notable for her works on United States Southern history of the nineteenth century. She is retired from Princeton University as the Edwards Professor of American History Emerita.  She has served as president of the Organization of American Historians and as president of the Southern Historical Association.

American author and an associate professor of writing at Columbia University.

Safiya Umoja Noble, Ph.D.
Associate Professor of Gender Studies and African American Studies at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where she serves as the Co-Founder and Co-Director of the UCLA Center for Critical Internet Inquiry (C2i2).
She holds affiliations in the School of Education & Information Studies, and is a Research Associate at the Oxford Internet Institute at the University of Oxford where she is a Commissioner on the Oxford Commission on AI & Good Governance (OxCAIGG).Â
